Providing scholarships to deserving Bama-bound students from the Houston metro area is a major focus of the Houston, Texas Alumni Chapter.
Contribute to The University of Alabama Houston, Texas Alumni Chapter Scholarships for our local students and become a Scholarship Supporter.
It is only through the strong, continuous support of our generous alumni and friends that we can award local students with scholarships from the Houston, Texas Alumni Chapter. Anybody can contribute to our chapter scholarships. Scholarship Supporters who make a gift, excluding chapter dues, will receive recognition throughout the year for their investment in the lives of UA students from Houston. 3. Make a secure online gift directly to The University of Alabama
Make a secure online gift directly to The University of Alabama. This is a great option to add employer matching gift information and instantly receive a tax receipt. If you have questions about this method, please email our scholarship chair.
- Go to https://alumni.ua.edu/scholarships/contribute-to-alumni-chapter-scholarship/
- Select Texas for state, find Houston Chapter, and then select the scholarship name
- Ignore “Choose Fund” and make sure the name of the scholarship you selected is shown under “My Gift to Alabama.” (Our main chapter scholarship is the Houston Texas Chapter Endowed Scholarship)
- Enter your gift amount to the right of the scholarship name
- Complete other information regarding gift type and gift options, including employer gift match
- Tap Next and enter personal information and payment method, etc.
- After you submit the gift, you will receive a payment confirmation that can be retained for tax purposes. Please forward this email to our scholarship chair so we may thank and recognize you, as well as reconcile our endowment totals with UA.
4. Become an Event or Chapter Sponsor
Serving as an Event Sponsor or Chapter Sponsor for Bama Houston is a great way to put your name in front of thousands of Crimson Tide alumni and fans who call Houston home. It also helps pay for speaker and venue costs associated with hosting events, as well as day-to-day chapter operations. And this allows Bama Houston to contribute more event profits and dues revenue to chapter scholarships to benefit Houston area students.
